Privacy Policy — Android App

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application Phrazle: Guess the Phrase (package name com.appstation.phrazle) available on Google Play (the "App"). It explains what information the App handles and how. For the phrazle.gg website, see our website privacy policy.

1. No account required

The App does not require registration and does not ask for your name, email address, or any other contact information to play.

2. Data stored on your device

Your game progress, statistics, streaks, and settings (such as theme and sound preferences) are stored locally on your device only. We do not upload this data to our servers. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes it.

3. Advertising

The App is free and supported by advertising, including optional rewarded ads (watched voluntarily in exchange for an in-game hint). Ads are delivered by third-party advertising partners, which may collect and process:

  • Device identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID)
  • IP address and coarse (city-level) location derived from it
  • Device type, operating system, and app usage signals related to ad delivery (impressions, clicks, frequency capping)

Where required by law (including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you may decline. You can also limit ad personalization at any time in your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (or "Opt out of Ads Personalization").

4. Analytics

We may use aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the App is used (for example, which puzzles are played most and where crashes occur). This data does not identify you personally and is used solely to improve the App.

5. What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise location.
  • We do not send you marketing emails or notifications without your permission.

6. Children's privacy

The App is a general-audience word game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If ads are shown to users identified as children under applicable law, only non-personalized ads are requested.

7. Data deletion

Because gameplay data lives only on your device, uninstalling the App removes it completely. To exercise privacy rights regarding data processed by advertising partners (access, deletion, objection), contact us at the address below and we will assist you.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.
