About Phrazle

Phrazle started with a simple idea: what if a Wordle-style game asked you to solve a whole phrase instead of a single word? Idioms, proverbs, and everyday sayings turned out to be perfect puzzle material — familiar enough to feel fair, tricky enough to make each solve satisfying.

The result is the game you're playing now: six guesses, a grid shaped like the hidden phrase, and Phrazle's signature three-color clue system. Green tiles confirm a letter in its exact spot, gold tiles point elsewhere in the same word, and purple tiles send you looking in a different word entirely. That one extra color changes everything about how you reason through a puzzle.

How we make puzzles

Our library holds hundreds of hand-picked phrases across nine themed categories — from animals and food to business and sports. A new daily puzzle goes live twice a day, at midnight and at noon, and everyone in the world plays the same one. Unlimited and category modes draw from the full library, with a unique shareable link for every puzzle.

Our principles

  • Free to play. No account, no paywall — just open the site and start guessing.
  • Private by default. Your stats and streaks live in your own browser, not on our servers. See our privacy policy.
  • Fair puzzles. Every answer is a real, common phrase, and every guess is validated so you never burn a turn on a typo.

Phrazle is under active development — mobile apps for iOS and Android are on the way. Questions or feedback? We'd love to hear from you at hello@phrazle.gg.
